A H M Tasbir Farid

I’m A H M Tasbir Farid, a dedicated IT professional specializing in network infrastructure, security and system administration. I serve as Deputy Manager/Programmer (Grade-6) at Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Ltd. (KGDCL), a company under Petrobangla, where my work involves managing and improving enterprise IT systems and secure infrastructure.

With more than a decade of experience across the banking, ISP and energy sectors, I have developed practical expertise in network security, Linux and Windows server administration, virtualization, data protection, and automation scripting. My career has included roles at Standard Bank Ltd., Bangladesh Online (BOL), Amber IT, and an internship at Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTCL).

I completed my Master’s in Computer Science at Jahangirnagar University and my Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication & Electronic Engineering at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University. My professional learning includes CNSS and CCNA training, Oracle database administration, VMware, F5 BIG-IP, and cybersecurity operations.

Born and raised in Chattogram, Bangladesh, I come from a family of educators: both of my parents were teachers. My wife is an ICT teacher, and we are blessed with a son and a daughter. Family, education and continuous learning are important parts of my life.

My academic work has included research and publications related to nanotechnology and renewable energy, alongside leadership and extracurricular involvement in debating and student organizations. I believe in purposeful technology, secure infrastructure, public service and sharing knowledge with others.
