A H M Tasbir Farid

I’m A H M Tasbir Farid, a dedicated and experienced IT professional specializing in network infrastructure, security, and system administration. I’m currently serving as a Deputy Manager/Programmer (Grade-6) at Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Ltd. (KGDCL), a company of Petrobangla, where I lead the implementation and management of complex networking systems and secure IT infrastructure. With over a decade of professional experience across the banking, ISP, and government energy sectors, I’ve developed strong expertise in Linux and Windows server administration, virtualization, cybersecurity, Datacenter management and automation scripting. My professional journey has taken me through key roles at Standard Bank Ltd., Amber IT, BOL (Beximco Online), and an internship at BTCL, all of which enriched my practical knowledge and sharpened my ability to deliver solutions in real-world environments. I completed my Master’s in Computer Science from Jahangirnagar University and Bachelor's in Telecommunication & Electronic Engineering from Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University (HSTU). I continually invest in professional development, having earned certifications such as CNSS, CCNA, and OCP DBA, along with advanced trainings in VMware, F5 BIG-IP, and Cybersecurity Operations. I was born and raised in Chattogram, Bangladesh, and currently live here. I come from a family of educators — both my parents were teachers — and I’m proud to carry on that legacy through my own dedication to lifelong learning. My wife is also an ICT teacher, and we are blessed with a son and a daughter. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I’ve had the privilege of publishing research on nanotechnology and renewable energy, and have actively participated in leadership and cultural activities — including debating, event organizing, and serving as Vice President of the CSEA at HSTU. I believe in purposeful technology, secure infrastructure, and giving back to the community — both through public service and knowledge sharing.
